Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program - COFSP (2015-2016)

OVERVIEW
Following a rigorous application process for a tuition scholarship, 6 undergraduate senior engineering students will be selected as Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program Fellows (COFSP Fellows.) The scholarship for $5000 will be applied over both fall and winter semesters ($2500/semester). Aspects of the COFSP include:

attending an orientation.

training in classroom pedagogies, in particular Challenge Based Learning and Engineering Design Process. (2 sessions)

assisting in secondary math and/or science classrooms for a total of 6 classroom hours per week.

teaching an Activity to secondary math and/or science students related to their Senior Capstone Design Projects.

training in classroom pedagogies, in particular Challenge Based Learning and Engineering Design Process. (2 sessions)

attending Seminars (twice per month) from October through April to learn about effective teaching strategies and classroom techniques.

participation in a final culmination event, the Presentation Program that takes place in late March 2016 by delivering both a Power Point and poster presentation describing the Activity they taught related to their Senior Capstone Design Projects.
