Any full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Biomedical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering who is a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident may apply.
Updated Resume needs to be mailed (sent via email) to STEP & S-STEM Program Coordinator listed at the bottom of the page.
During the "Application Process", apart from general information applicants need to provide the names and email addresses of 2 professional references. These two references will be contacted via email and will be requested to fill a recommendation form. It is advisable to get in touch with your recommender prior to listing them here.
Students have to provide a 1000 word essay presenting their background and biographical information, and explaining why are they interested in this program.
A prioritized list of S-STEM Degree Track choices is required in the application, see this page ( https://www.ceas3.uc.edu/sstem-bcee/tracks.php) for more information on the tracks.
While completing application form, applicants are required to provide their gender, race and ethnicity details. This information is requested by the National Science Foundation simply to determine the diversity of the students our program is attracting. This information is strictly confidential and will only be used in aggregate form.
Applicants are required to submit copies of all college transcript and any relevant certificates. These documents needed to be emailed to thiels@ucmail.uc.edu. Hard copies will be required if you are selected.
Upon completion of the application, the applicant will be provided with the option to generate a PDF copy of their application. It is highly recommended to generate and keep it for future reference.
Applicants are requested to use their school email as their application number and login information will be sent to it. Application number and authentication code, emailed automatically at the start of the application, is required to re-visit/edit the application at later stage if required.
Once registration is completed, the applicant is advised to check their spam folder if the registration email is not received.
