Following a rigorous application process for a tuition scholarship, 6 undergraduate senior engineering students will be selected as Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program Fellows (COFSP Fellows.) The scholarship for $5000 will be applied over both fall and winter semesters ($2500/semester). Aspects of the COFSP include:

• attending an orientation.

• training in classroom pedagogies, in particular Challenge Based Learning and Engineering Design Process. (2 sessions)

• assisting in secondary math and/or science classrooms for a total of 6 classroom hours per week.

• teaching an Activity to secondary math and/or science students related to their Senior Capstone Design Projects.

• training in classroom pedagogies, in particular Challenge Based Learning and Engineering Design Process. (2 sessions)

• attending Seminars (twice per month) from October through April to learn about effective teaching strategies and classroom techniques.

• participation in a final culmination event, the Presentation Program that takes place in late March 2016 by delivering both a Power Point and poster presentation describing the Activity they taught related to their Senior Capstone Design Projects.
