S-STEM: BRIDGING OUR STUDENTS TO THEIR FUTURE

An undergraduate student enrolled as a full-time student in either Biomedical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering in the Department of Biomedical,
Chemical & Environmental Engineering, who is a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident, can apply. A completed application requires submission of the
following documents, all to be submitted online:

In addition to your personal and educational information, you will need to upload a brief statement (in 300 – 350 words) on each of the following items:
- Relevant work or educational experience and time management skills.
- Interest in the S-STEM program and why you are the best applicant.
- Honors you received, special activities pursued and your technical skills.
- Educational enrichment experience and common misconceptions about you.
- Rationale for your First S-STEM Degree Track Selection.
- Two letters of recommendation from a faculty member. The faculty member should comment on your skills as they relate to the undergraduate duties, your scholastic record, and your commitment and abilities as they relate to your first choice of the S-STEM degree track selected. It is essential that you let them know of this choice.

Obtain an official transcript from UC and any other college that you have attended since graduating from high school and send these separately to:
